Looking for something to do this weekend?

A patch is now available to upgrade your Kirkwood data archiver 
package from version 1.0.5 to 1.0.6.  The lawn can wait another week.

Here's what you get:

  1. A larger digit in the version number

Not convinced yet?  I know some of you are. For those of you
non-conformists there's more:

  2. Fixed typo in the cdrecord -scanbus to cdrecordDVD -scanbus
  3. Fixed typo in separating Grid fields
  4. Changed the mkisofs command to mkisofsDVD

Hey, what do you want? This is a minor minor release.

The file is available from the soo/strc ftp server in the wes directory.
If you currently have version 1.0.5 installed on your system then
just get the upgrade file below.

To install (As user awipsusr):

        % mv ArchiverVer_1.0.6_upgrade.tar.gz ~awipsusr/Archiver
        % cd  ~awipsusr/Archiver
        % tar -xzvf ArchiverVer_1.0.6_upgrade.tar.gz 

Next, make a link and change some permissions:

First file the location of the mkisofs file under /usr/lib/cdrtools-1.11.
It will either be in 

   /usr/lib/cdrtools-1.11/mkisofs/OBJ/i686-linux-cc/mkisofs

or 

   /usr/lib/cdrtools-1.11/mkisofs/OBJ/linux-linux-cc/mkisofs

depending on which distribution of cdrtools-1.11 you have installed.

Then
     % cd /usr/bin

     % ln -s /usr/lib/cdrtools-1.11/mkisofs/OBJ/<your-location>/mkisofs mkisofsDVD
        
     % chmod 4711 /usr/bin/mkisofsDVD
     % chmod 4711 /usr/lib/cdrtools-1.11/mkisofs/OBJ/<your-location>/mkisofs
