Greetings All,

I have posted an update to WS Eta 3.1 on the SOO/STRC ftp server. For
the lack of a better naming convention I have called this release
3.1c.  I have updated the binary distributions as well.  This update
includes fixes for the following bugs:

   1)  Seg fault when processing the 12km tiles.
   
   2)  Warm Lake/Ocean surface temperatures when using the 14km data set.
       Thanks to many people for spotting this problem.
   
   3)  Preprocessor will not break when initializing from a > 100 hr AVN 
       (GFS) forecast.  Thanks to Ed Mahoney for spotting this problem.
       
   4)  The eta_run.csh script will not attempt to recompile executables
       when using binary distribution.
        
   5)  preProcessWSETA.pl modified for 3-digit forecast hour. Thanks to 
       Greg Jackson for spotting this problem.
       
   6)  Corrections to some default configuration settings.
   
   7)  Some spelling errors fixed, others remain for job security.
   
   8)  Binaries for RH 8.0 will be available before the Holidays, that is
       if you have(n't) been naughty.
   
   
To install:

	% cp $ETA_RUN/*.csh $WS_ETA
	
	  The above command will save all your configured run-time scripts
	  into the top level of the WS Eta for reference since installing
	  the new core distribution will overwrite all your work.  You may
	  delete them after reconfiguring the updated installation.
	  
	% mv worketa_soostrc_v31c.tar.gz $WS_ETA
	% cd %WS_ETA
	% chmod -R 755 *    - Just to make sure everything is overwritten
	% zcat worketa_soostrc_v31c.tar.gz | tar xvf -
    or
        % tar -xzvf worketa_soostrc_v31c.tar.gz
        
 
       Reconfigure your run-time scripts.
        
NOTE:  In you are using a binary distribution then you will have to
       reinstall the executable from the SOO/STRC ftp server. If you
       compile locally then you will have to recompile. Be sure
       to run "make clobber" and make "clobber_nest" before running
       "make all" and "make nest".
