Now available: Workstation Eta NAM patch and Update

Greetings All,

I have placed a patch/update on the SOO/STRC ftp server that
addresses, among other things, the eta to nam name change on
the NCEP servers.  This change is not officially scheduled
to take place until January but the new files are currently
being put on the server so I might as well release it now.

In addition, the update portion of the package contains an
upgrade to the download scripts. A perl interface was
added to reduce the number of hung ftp processes when
connecting to the servers.

Finally, a new version of eta_run is included that fixes a
minor bug exposed on Fedora Core systems where the entire
worketa distribution would be removed when running "eta_clean 3".


Note that this patch has already been integrated into the
main distribution file.

The patch can be found in the worketa/current directory.

To install:

   % mv download_update_patch.tar.gz $WS_ETA
   % cd $WS_ETA
   % tar -xzvf download_update_patch.tar.gz

You will have to edit the following file:

   1. $ETA_RUN/eta_download.csh - Make sure the tiles settings
      are correct since this files gets overwritten.

Run $ETA_RUN/eta_download.csh as usual.
