[wrfems] Using Nawips to View WRF Gempak Files

So...I'm trying to use the included nawips software to try and view gempak files created
by the WRf post processor. I've setup the environmental variables and the ntl menu will
come up OK but when I try and execute one of the programs, I get the following.
*****************************************************************************************
[gempak at wxman9 bin]$ ntl
Resource File: /usr1/wrfv3/wrfems/util/nawips/resource/Ntop
graphic, satellite, radar, fax -- 33 95 20 2
 Invoke ... garp
garp: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
 Invoke ... nsharp
nsharp: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
 Invoke ... nalarm
nalarm: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
 Invoke ... nwx
nwx: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
******************************************************************************************

I have the i686 version of libgfortran.so.1 loaded at /usr/lib. The 64 bit version is also loaded
in /usr/lib64. It seems like it is looking for some sort of object file...a ".o" file perhaps.
Or am I on the wrong path here?

This is Fedora 14 loaded on an xf86_64 processor.

Thanks for your time!
